I have no way of accessing BIOS or anything else. I'm fed up with wasting time on Microsoft's latest monstrosity (aka 10), one which I can no longer upgrade to for reasons unknown. now it's back to the same problem. Then again press the power button to start it normally. If I try to remove it, the unninstal window show up, but suddenly it "minimizes" and won't come back. when i click on restart .

Seriously though, what were those people in Microsoft thinking when they made the update.. Some onboard stuff wasn't detected yet. slinky I own a lenovo z510 laptop. Restart your system and your reboot or shutdown problems should get fixed in Windows 8 and later.
It did articulate the error message a bit more, It stopped while trying to save data, which doesn't help me very much. But it APPEARSto me that it was from that moment on that the battery "stopped working".
