None of them work and I get the "key does not match win 8 image" what the heck is happening? Login or register to post comments troys on Nov 15, 2014 My Dell desktop came with 8.1 and a Dell webpage says that my product key was "injected" into the motherboard. I had to do a restore on that as well (long story) but was never able to get back to Windows 8.1, due to failed updates after the Windows 8 install. You can't enter a Windows 8 product key into the Windows 8.1 installer, just as you can't enter a Windows 7 product key into the Windows 8 installer. I have Windows 8 OEM license.

I have Windows 8 OEM license. A few people I know tried this and it worked fine. Just launch the executable file. Here, you can choose between a USB flash drive or an ISO file.
