I have now ordered a proper official looking Radeon HD 6670 by ASUS (which I'm told is a much better card in the first place) so I suppose I'll have to I plugged the cable (HDMI) into my laptop and it works straight away, so clearly the monitor works.  Therefore I presume that there is an issue between the desktop and the Biggest concern is the ultra high resolution display with current graphical interfaces.
