In the end I just didn't have enough time to continue troubleshooting and hoping that I would stumble on a solution. It looks like it is downloading an empty guide from zap2it.

Still no Rovi Guide. Once the guide data is loaded I put them back on the router. I hope that I will not need to perform this process again when my guide requires another update. It immediately skips to telling me to check my hardware through the control panel. My problems with this change is that the guide takes longer to load, and it provides less info. next I ran setup again with my postal code & it found & set my provider & package without any problems however now some of the channel alignment is wrong, channel get redirected here Loading...

Also, when I have tried to update it always me an download is in progress and then it give me a message wmc that a successful download has been completed.
