I like Ubuntu Mate, it has a much more familiar UI for windows users. OK * Classic (Metacity) ... Pros: Cheap, everything works out-of-box, without needing to manually fix anything. UEFI boot works good, just need to create a custom boot entry pointing to the ubuntu efi image. Although something interesting to note is the initial startup, after the update has finished, works fine for me... I use a mouse so I don't need the trackpad. I've read online how to disable the trackpad but I don't have any of those options.
